Team Selection

Each team will select:

• One competitor (9 & under)
• One competitor (ages 10–11)
• One competitor (ages 12–13)

Coaches will work to pair competitors of reasonable size to ensure fair matches. Extreme weight mismatches will be avoided whenever possible.

Match Structure

• Each match is 3 minutes.
• Each submission scored = 1 point.
• Maximum of 3 points per match.
• If no submission occurs, no points are awarded.

Rules & Legal Techniques

• The 11 & under match will follow all legal submissions and rules for the 6–11 division.
• The 12–13 and 14–15 matches will follow all legal submissions and rules for the 12–15 division.
• All other standard grappling rules remain in effect.

Tie-Breaker

If the teams are tied after all three matches:

• The 14–15 competitors will compete in a 1-minute tie-breaker match.
